Sam covered the Vietnam War for ABC News in 1971. From 1973 to 1974 he became ABC’s principal correspondent for Watergate, where he followed the trial of the Watergate Senate hearings, the Watergate thieves, and President Nixon’s impeachment investigation by of the Judicial Commission of the Chamber.
