LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM MUSIC
Buckingham never studied music, his was an innate gift. At the age of 13, he developed an interest in folk music. Inspired by the methods of the banjo, he perfected the energetic style of the Kingston Trio. From 1966 to 1971, Buckingham played psychedelia and folk-rock with the San Francisco Bay Area group The Fritz Rabyne Memorial Bandin as bassist and vocalist. Shortly after joining Fritz, Buckingham asked his friend Stevie Nicks to join Fritz as second vocalist. Their romantic relationship began five years later when they both left Fritz. Unlike most rock guitarists, Buckingham doesn’t play with a pick; instead, he takes the strings with his fingers and nails. Originally, after joining Fleetwood Mac, Buckingham used the Gibson Les Paul Custom. Prior to the band, the Fender Telecaster was his main instrument and appeared on his first Fleetwood Mac album alongside Fender Stratocaster with the Alembic Blaster. He collaborated with Rick Turner, founder of Renaissance Guitars, in 1979 to create Model One. He has since used it frequently, both with Fleetwood Mac and for his solo endeavors.

‘Trouble’ is a song written, arranged and performed by Buckingham and released as the lead single from his 1981 debut solo album Law and Order. The song became Buckingham’s first hit as a solo artist, peaking at nine years in the US and 31 in the UK, where he remained on charter for seven weeks.
It was most successful in Australia, where it topped the charts for three weeks and became the eighth best-selling single in 1982. It had similar hits in South Africa, hitting number one for two weeks and finishing in 1982 as the 13th. best in the country – single sale.
