“Married at First Sight” is returning for its 13th season this summer on Lifetime. While the program has changed since its inception in 2014, it still maintains faithful to its fundamental premise of matching. In the popular reality program, two strangers agree to marry each other before ever meeting after being paired up by relationship experts. The series covers not just their wedding as well as how they handle married life. Eventually, after a few weeks together, each couple decides if they want to continue together or divorce.

Season 13 will introduce ten new characters, five of whom will become “Married at First Sight” couples!
Myrla and Gil, Brett and Ryan, Bao and Johnny, Michaela and Zack, and Rachel and Jose are the couples in question.
Fans can immediately tell that one of the couples has met before and that at least one cast member will be given COVID-19 based on the teaser.
Myrla, a leadership coach, is certain that the panel of experts will assist her in finding love, according to Parade.
Gil, her boyfriend, was born and reared in Colombia and considers himself a hopeless romantic.
Then there’s Brett and Ryan, the latter of whom appears to be a huge fan of the show.
Meanwhile, Ryan grew up in a large family and appears to be more than ready to establish his own.
This season will also introduce the franchise’s first Asian-American couple, Bao and Johnny, who selected a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony to commemorate their marriage.
Bao is open to love after previously rejecting marriage, while Johnny is fed up with dating apps.
There’s also Michaela, a realtor who believes the time has come for her to marry, and her partner, Zack, who, at 27, believes he’s running out of time to settle down.
Finally, viewers will meet Rachel, who is frequently insecure while dating, and Jose, who has been disappointed by his inability to find a lady who is interested in a meaningful relationship.

Where Season 13 Was Filmed
Houston, Texas is the setting for Season 13. Interviews took place between mid-November 2020 and mid-January 2021, with casting beginning in August 2020. Furthermore, Season 14 will be cast before Season 13 ever airs. Season 14’s application deadline was May 14, 2021, and it would be held in Boston, Massachusetts. With about 50,000 applications per season, selecting the final pairings can take up to six months. They start by whittling down the field to a few hundred individuals, then perform psychiatric tests and house visits to choose the final pairings.
