Dexter is a Showtime mystery television series that premiered on October 1, 2006. The series is set in Miami and follows Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a forensic technician for the fictional Miami Metro Police Department who specializes in analyzing bloodstain patterns. In reality, the technician has a double life as a serial killer.

Clarence J. “Clancy” Brown III is an American actor and voice actor who was born on January 5, 1959. He grew up in Urbana, Ohio, with an elder sister named Beth (1958-1965).
Clancy’s mother, Joyce Eldridge, was a conductor, composer, and concert pianist, and his father, Clarence J. “Bud” Brown, Jr., was the head of the family-owned publishing firm founded by Clancy’s grandfather, Congressman Clarence J. Brown. Bud Brown was a member of the United States Congress from 1965 to 1983 and thereafter chairman of Brown Publishing’s board of directors.
Clarence J. “Clancy” Brown III has a Northwestern University scholarship and has worked in television, cinema, and voice acting for cartoon and video game roles.
Brown has one son and one daughter with Jeanne Johnson, whom he married in 1993.
