Ben Higgins is an American television star who starred in the twentieth season of ABC’s The Bachelor, after appearing in the eleventh season of The Bachelorette.
During which he got engaged to the show’s winner, 25-year-old flight attendant Lauren Bushnell , in early 2016. The couple then starred in their own spin-off show titled ‘Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?’ later in the same year. He previously competed to win Kaitlyn Bristowe’s heart in the eleventh season of ‘The Bachelorette’ in May 2015, finishing third.

I started playing guitar at the age of 10, learning some basic chords on nylon string acoustics. I learned some simple Irish folk songs which helped me develop my rhythm and ear.
The thing that changed everything was discovering an old Iron Maiden tape in a dusty corner of the house. The album was ‘Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son’. I had never heard such ominously atmospheric music, yet such an anthem. There was no going back. I had to have an electric guitar! I finally got my hands on a size ¾ black Washburn and plunged into the world of amps and distortion!
A couple of bands followed, each getting closer to the music I wanted to play until I was in a position to have some ideas for my songs, so I put together a new outfit which I called The Reckoning. I have released 2 online albums called ‘Defining Armageddon’ and ‘Hell Kisses The Earth’, both of which are available on Bandcamp.
At the end of 2013, I came up with the idea of recording some instrumental songs just for fun. I started working with an Italian drummer, Andrea De Carolis. I ended up putting together 8 songs for my solo debut album ‘Mr. Badass’ which was released via Bandcamp on April 12, 2014.
Between recordings I also found time to write a fictional novel called ‘The Hammer’, with a character I created called Frank Blake, who was inspired by The Reckoning’s song ‘Vigilante’. ‘The Hammer’ is available on Amazon.
