DIETA DI ALEXANDRA VON FÜRSTENBERG
Pret-a-Reporter: what is your beauty philosophy?
From Furstenberg: My beauty philosophy is without a doubt: take care of your skin. By that I mean keeping it clean, scrubbed and hydrated, along with drinking lots of water and absolutely no smoking – [the] worst thing for the skin….
What beauty look are you best known for?
Perhaps the thing I’m known for is having glowing skin.
Your highlighting skills are quite impressive. What are your secrets?
Thank you. I use a combination of Guerlain Terracotta ($ 55) in shade # 1 with MAC bronzing powder ($ 26) in Golden shade; I’m not heavy on contouring. I do this lightly enough to give my face light shadows in the right places. Then I highlight my high cheekbones, a slight swipe to the center of the nose, and a powder over my brows with my favorite must-have, Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Brick in Bronze ($ 46) or my new favorite, Becca in Champagne Pop ($ 38).
What is your signature scent?
Molecole Escentric 01 ($ 135).
For your summer travel plans, what are your in-flight and travel beauty essentials?
My beauty essentials for air travel are Aquaphor ($ 4) for my lips, a heavy moisturizer – Chantecaille Bio Lifting Cream, $ 342 or the mask, $ 153 – a soft eye mask and cream by the hands.
Bright-colored bumps are a signature of your work. Have you ever incorporated bright colors into your makeup? If so, how?
I don’t incorporate bright colors into my makeup, but will sometimes pop pops of bright colors on my nails.
You have great skin. What are your skin care products that you can’t live without?
I can’t live without Dr. Lancers Polish Scrub ($ 75), my Clarisonic brush, [Philosophy] Purity cleaners ($ 11), Chantecaille Bio Lifting Cream and Serum, Avene Retrinal ($ 69) and Neutrogena makeup wipes ($ 5).
